Philosophy
The aim of the program is to provide a comprehensive training in behavior analysis with an emphasis in application. Students are expected to develop both a theoretical understanding as well as mastery of the application of the science of behavior.

Program Descriptions
Master of Science in Counseling (Applied Behavior Analysis Option) [85 units]
(Accredited by ABAI; pre-approved course sequence by BACB; Pre-approved Intense Practicum by BACB):

Applied Behavior Analysis is the application of learning principles to problems of social importance. It is a systematic, performance based, self-evaluative methodology for assessing and changing socially important behavior.
This program is designed for those who plan to work as a behavior analyst, case manager or behavioral consultant in the application of behavior analysis to the education and treatment of individuals in various settings. Or, those who wish to pursue a doctoral degree in behavior analysis.
Accepts ~ 15 students per year
This program is housed within the Charter College of Education in the Division of Special Education and Counseling. Current full-time faculty: Dr. Randy Campbell and Dr. Michele Wallace.

Certificate Program in Applied Behavior Analysis in Educational Settings (pre-approved course sequence by BACB; applicant will have to meet additional supervision requirement to qualify to become a BCBA): [27 units; Post Baccalaureate]

This program is designed to provide practitioners, such as school psychologists, counselors, resource and program specialists, teachers, administrators, and others who work with students and teachers, the opportunity to develop specialized skills to function as a Behavior Analyst.
Those who complete the program will develop specialized skills for designing; implementing and evaluating applied behavior analysis programs in behavior management, motivation, teaching, and consultation.
Accept ~ 30 students per year
Students who apply for the certificate program in applied behavior analysis in educational settings should already have a master degree or are currently enrolled in a master degree program.
