### Math Undergraduate Program

A "Math Department Advisement for Q2S" 2015-2016 Moodle site has been created for all Q2S transitional students. All pertinent information including quarter and semester program sheets, roadmaps, course offering schedules, instructions for how to create IAPs along with samples etc. are posted for students' perusal.

All Q2S transitional students are advised to complete the preliminary IAP assignment before seeking an IAP (Individualized Advisement Plan) appointment with Dr. Raychaudhuri in Fall 2015.

Please follow the directions on the task list before seeking advisement, as some advisement tasks are done by Math Dept. Undergraduate Advisor (Dr. Raychaudhuri) and others by the NSS advisors. See the advisement specifications.

Notes for Calculus-bound students:

- Under semesters, MATH 104A and MATH 104B have combined into a single one-semester course, MATH 1040. MATH 1040 is a 6-unit course: 5 units lecture plus a 1-unit activity that meets 2 hours a week. Calculus-bound students who have passed MATH 91 should take MATH 1040 next.
- Calculus-bound students who have successfully completed MATH 104A (or the equivalent) but not MATH 104B should take MATH 1083 next. MATH 1083 is a 3-unit course that will cover the content of MATH 104B.
- Calculus-bound bound students who have successfully completed MATH 104B (or the equivalent) but not MATH 104A should take MATH 1081 next. MATH 1081 is a 3-unit course that will cover the content of MATH 104A. (This will be most relevant to some transfer students.)

Notes for BioCalculus-bound students:

- Under semesters, MATH 104A and 105 have combined into a single one-semester course, MATH 1050. MATH 1050 is a 6-unit course: 5 units lecture plus a 1-unit activity that meets 2 hours a week. BioCalculus-bound students who have passed MATH 91 should take MATH 1050 next.
- BioCalculus-bound students who have successfully completed MATH 104A (or the equivalent) but not MATH 105 should take MATH 1085 next. MATH 1085 is a 3-unit course that will cover the content of MATH 105.
