TEACHING INTERESTS

My teaching experience has mostly involved teaching topics in ethnic diversity and child and adolescent development. Below are some of the courses I have taught or are currently teaching: CHDV 3210, CHDV 5100, CHDV 4540L, CHDV 1410, CHDV 3500, CHDV 2250

RESEARCH INTERESTS

My research uses a developmental lens to examine the role of school ethnic diversity on urban youth achievement motivation, educational course trajectories, and school adjustment. I am especially interested in examining how equity in curricular pathways, motivates students' sense of belonging and achievement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).
