Cal State LA students are future leaders in the criminal justice system. They have all the characteristics, such as passion and dedication, to become outstanding justice professionals and scholars. The field of criminal justice and criminology has moved into a paradigm in which scientific evidence has been increasingly used to inform crime control policies. It is paramount for us to prepare this fantastic group of students with the necessary scientific perspective, knowledge and critical thinking skills they need to effectively deal with justice and public health problems.

Construction, Validation and Application of Adult and Juvenile Risk and Needs Assessment (RNA) instruments; Program/Policy Evaluation, and Quantitative Methods.
