The Study Room Monitor will be responsible for the oversight of Housing Services designated study room (Think Tank). This includes managing resident attendance logs; managing study room inventory and supplies; coordinating Dining Commons' staff to set up refreshments; ensuring study space is kept clean, safe and organized; communicating with RA and RD staff when student emergencies or crises arise; notifying professional staff about upkeep and maintenance issues; adherence to and upholding CSU University's and Housing Services' policies and procedures; and other duties as assigned.
Must be organized and able to work independently in a timely manner with little supervision; detail-oriented and self-motivated A MUST. Must be available to work on Sundays. Able to maintain safety and cleanliness of the study room as needed (including but not limited to cleaning of tables & whiteboards and vacuuming of study room area). Accept direction from all full-time Housing Services staff.
Wage: $10.50 per hour.
Employment start and end date: Feb. 15 - May 20.
Days and hours: Sundays - Thursdays 4:40-10:30 p.m.

Summer Community Assistant for the 2017 Summer Term

This is a live-on position that requires working weekdays, weekends and holidays. Assistants will provide customer service to Summer Conference guests and Cal State LA students residing in Housing, which includes responding to situations regarding maintenance, conflict resolution, and general health and welfare.
