Welcome to our new web site design!

The library's web site has a new design!

About the redesign project

Beginning in the spring of 2001, the web development team here at the University Library embarked on a major project to evaluate and then redesign the library's web site. Our goal was to create a new site that would be easier for you to use and navigate; more consistent with the University's new home page design; more visually appealing; and more ADA compliant, improving accessibility for all users.

The web team conducted a series of "Usability Studies" in which we had students, faculty, and staff test and evaluate our old library web site. The information we gathered enabled us to identify problems with the old site and to brainstorm about new ideas for improving the structure and functionality of our web pages. The result is this new site which (we hope) you will find has achieved our goal and provides you with improved access to the library's many online information resources.

Please tell us what you think of the new site
