Level D

Credential or Graduate Student academic standing, with excellent people skills. Desire to work with adult learner or high school learners. All majors welcome. All future teachers are encouraged to apply. Strong desire to work with Introduction to Higher Education students and other novice users of research process and academic bibliographic databases. Ability to communicate well with students from diverse backgrounds. Ability to encourage a positive attitude toward learning. Ability to manage a classroom setting. Ability to speak Arabic, Armenian, Chinese, Farsi, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese, or other language.

Trainers will assist in both on-campus and off-campus training of groups related to information literacy (including Library databases). Trainers will assist in training adult and high school students about connectivity to a variety of academic bibliographic databases and web search engines. Trainers will assist in training students from multicultural environments in use of academic bibliographic databases in classroom settings. Trainers will assist in training students to understand the relationship between the composition process and academic bibliographic databases.
