Receptionist/ Clerk Typist
Under the direction of the Administrative Analyst Specialist to the UL, the student assistant performs a wide variety of routine and repetitive general office/clerical tasks, including but not limited to screening telephone calls, typing correspondence, proofreading, filing, recording pertinent information for office records, photocopying and faxing documents, maintaining the Friends of the Library database, compiling statistical data for surveys, typing draft copies of internal policies and procedures, and assisting with the coordination of fundraising or special events sponsored by the Friends of the Library. Event planning duties may require deliveries using the student's automobile distributing flyers and posters. The student must be self-motivated and reliable, and be able to work periodically under pressure and independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to operate a computer and possess skills using the following software: MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; and Access are desireable.
