Working under the supervision of the Computer Operation Function Group Leader, the Library Information Technology Support Student Assistant performs assigned tasks in support of the overall Library goals of providing setting up computer hardware and software, building Library Web pages (Intranet as well as Internet), assisting in training, etc.

Specifically, the Library Information Technology Support Student Assistant performs the following functions:

  • Assists the Computer Operation Function Group Leader to set up and maintain Library Faculty and Staff, Reference Desk and Area, and Library Electronic Classroom workstations.
  • Assists the User Interface Task Force in its job to create and maintain Library Web pages and Web graphics.
  • Assists the Office Automation Task Force in its job to create and maintain Library Intranet Web pages and graphics.
  • Assists Library trainers in classroom set up, handouts, hardware/software setup & installation, trainee assistance, etc.
Desired qualifications:
Experience or coursework in basic computer graphics
Experience or cousework in Web pages design
Experience or coursework in training
Ability to work independently

Performs related duties as required within the job level of responsibilities.
