This announcement is to inform you that an Electrical Shutdown has been scheduled for Sunday, November 17, 2002 from 7:00 a.m. to approximately 4:00 p.m.
The shutdown will affect the entire campus. At one part of the day there will be NO Electrical Power (e.g. lights, a/c, computers, lab equipment, refrigerators).
The Library will adjust its hours for this shutdown and will open at 12 noon on Sunday, November 17, 2002.
The shutdown is required to connect the necessary electrical components to measure power in the new UAS Building. Phase one of the shutdown will begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. ending at approximately 11:00 a.m. and will effect the following buildings: Theater/Music, King Hall, Library North and south, Engineering and Technology, Biological Science, Health Center, Salazar Hall, Central Chiller Plant, Stadium, Metro Link Elevators, Luckman Theater and Luckman Gallery, Parking Structure II, E.O.C., Student Housing Phase I & II, and the TES Tunnel. Phase two of the shutdown will begin immediately after the power has been restored to the phase one buildings. Phase two beginning at approximately 11:00 a.m. and ending at approximately 5:00 p.m. will effect the following buildings: Student Union, Administration, Fine Arts, Physical Education, Physical Science, Simpson Tower, Central Chiller Plant, Career Center, and Parking Structure I. Internet access maybe severely disrupted during this period.
