RefWorks & RefShare

RefWorks/RefShare are online research management, writing and collaboration tools. They are designed to help faculty and students easily gather, manage, store and share research information, as well as generate citations and bibliographies. The purpose of these tools is to simplify the process of documenting sources in a research paper, master thesis, or other project requiring references. Users can create and manage collections of references using a web browser, import references from a number of online databases, create bibliographies that can be inserted into word processing documents, shared among colleagues, and more.

Tests in Print

Trial Period: May 8 ~ June 30, 2009

Tests in Print (TIP) is produced by the Buros Institute of Mental Measurements at the University of Nebraska. TIP serves as a comprehensive bibliography to all known commercially available tests that are currently in print in the English language. TIP provides information to users including test purpose, test publisher, in-print status, price, test acronym, intended test population, administration times, publication date(s), and test author(s). A score index permits users to identify what is being measured by each test. Tests in Print is directly linked to the critical, candid test reviews published in the Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) series. Users can research current test information from the TIP series and continue their search to all available test reviews published in the MMY series. (partially excerpted from publisher blurb)

UpToDate is a clinical community dedicated to synthesizing knowledge for clinicians and patients. The community includes more than 4,000 expert clinicians who function as authors, editors and peer reviewers and over 360,000 users who provide feedback and questions to our editorial group. UpToDate covers more than 7,700 topics in 14 medical specialties and includes more than 80,000 pages of text, graphics, links to Medline abstracts, more than 260,000 references, and a drug database. Date includes treatment recommendations based on the best medical evidence. Recommendations are kept current as new studies are released and practices change.

 

SimplyMap

SimplyMap is a web-based mapping application that enables you to quickly create professional-quality thematic maps and reports using powerful demographic, business, and marketing data. It combines mapping capabilities with extensive demographic, business, and marketing data that enables novice users to create their own interactive thematic maps and reports using a Web browser. The maps can be exported as high-resolution images for use in reports and presentations, and data can be exported into Microsoft Excel worksheets and Microsoft Word documents. Business applications for this product include target marketing, advertising campaigns, commercial and residential real estate development, retail store site selection, ranking studies, and social and demographic analyses.
