Library Catalogs ~ How do they work?
•
  • Library Catalogs identify every item owned by that library, including: books;
    journal, magazine, & newspaper titles; videos; music; government documents;
    and more.

  • The Library Catalog also tells you where to locate the item (the location &
    call number) and the item's status (if it's checked out or not)
  • •Please Note:  You won't find periodical articles in a Library Catalog. The Catalog
    only tells you what periodicals the library subscribes to.  You'll need to use an
    article database to search for articles by subject.
