The Structures, Propulsion, And Control Engineering Center (SPACE) Center was established in 2003 with a funding of $6 million from NASA. The center is composed of two laboratories: Structures, Pointing, And Control Engineering (SPACE) Laboratory and the Multidisciplinary Flight Dynamics and Control (MFDC) Laboratory. The major areas of research in the SPACE center is centered on the fields of control with application to flight dynamics, space telescope technologies, complex structures, propulsion, and digital technologies.
