Principles of WAC Workshop One: Writing Pedagogies

During this workshop, faculty will explore ways to articulate their philosophies of teaching writing. Faculty will leave the workshop with a draft of their philosophy of teaching writing. Through their participation, faculty will be better prepared to influence future directions of writing on campus.
By the end of this workshop, faculty will
- become more familiar with a philosophy of teaching writing in their major; and
- develop an understanding of how a writing intensive course augments a major’s curriculum.
The outcomes above explore two key areas of writing pedagogy, with a focus on individual faculty.
