CSLA 50th Anniversary Logo Contest

Who's eligible:
All submissions must be original designs created by a currently-enrolled student, staff, faculty member, or alumnus/a of the University who is not involved in the judging process.

The Golden Year: Creating Learning Communities for the 21st Century.

Number of entries:
One person may submit up to 2 designs for consideration.

Logo must include the following:
The full name of the University -- California State University, Los Angeles or Cal State L.A. -- and reference to the University's 50th Anniversary (CSLA was founded in 1947. Its first commencement was held in June 1948).

Logo may include the following:
Cal State L.A.'s existing University seal or logo, available from the office of Publications/Public Affairs, Administration Building Room 601 - (323) 343-3050. (You may bring a disk to the office to receive an electronic version.)

Submit logo in both black and white, or black, white and gold (yellow PMS 116-non metallic) renderings. Logo should be at least 6 inches in height or length for entry purposes and must be able to support reduction to 3/4 of an inch. Consideration will be given to how the logo reproduces in this reduced form. Mount on board no larger than 14" x 18".

Entries must include:
Name, address, phone, affiliation with University
(i.e. student, faculty, staff, alumnus/a). Entry information must be mounted on the back. Entry should be flapped for protection.

Entrant agrees to transfer unlimited rights to the University for use of the selected logo.

The Steering Committee of the 50th Anniversary Celebration will select the finalists to be voted on by the campus community.

1st Place: $500 Cash Prize from the CSLA Foundation
2nd Place: $100 Gift Certificate to the University Square Bookstore
3rd Place: $50 Gift Certificate to Eagles' Landing Cafeteria
