CAL STATE L.A. CELEBRATES 1999
ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY WEEK

What & Who:
The School of Engineering and Technology at California State University, Los Angeles will observe National Engineering Week with its own Engineering and Technology Week Celebration. Events are open to the entire campus community.

When:
February 22-26, 1999.

Where:
The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Freeways.

More:
The Engineering and Technology Week will kick off on Mon., Feb. 22, 1-3 p.m., in the Los Angeles Room, University-Student Union, with a keynote speech by John Ballence, transmission and distribution Y2K project manager, Southern California Edison: "Y2K-Will Southern California be Left in the Dark."

Many other exciting events are also planned for the week, including a Glider Competition on Tues., Feb. 23, 10 a.m.-12 noon, in front of the Engineering and Technology Building; a Popsicle Tower Contest on Wed., Feb. 24, 12 noon-1 p.m., in the Salazar Hall Patio; a 555 Timer Design Contest (circuit design using a #555-chip) on Wed., Feb. 24, 2-4 p.m., in the Salazar Hall Patio; a Pinewood Derby Race on Thu., Feb. 25, 6-8 p.m., at the Luckman Street of the Arts; and a Mini Baja Ride Fundraiser on Wed., Feb. 24 and Thu., Feb. 25, 2-4 p.m., on the All-Purpose Field.
