Cal State L.A. to Host Second Annual Youth Mediation Conference
What & Who: As part of National Mediation Week, California State University, Los Angeles will host the Southern California Mediation Association's (SCMA) Second Annual Youth Conference, entitled "Mediation - From the Schools to the Streets: Making It Real." Attending will be over 250 youth mediators representing approximately 20 middle and high schools from the Los Angeles area.
When: Wednesday, March 24, 1999, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Workshops to be held in breakout rooms following the plenary assembly. Afternoon program includes mock mediation sessions.
Where: Cal State L.A. King Hall Lecture Hall 1. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at the interchange of the 10 and 710 Freeways. Public permit dispenser parking is available in Lot C, Lot G, or the top level of North Parking Structure II.
More: The SCMA initiated an annual youth conference to support and encourage the hard work and commitment of youth mediators. These mediators contribute to their peers and the community by resolving conflicts peacefully and with integrity.
