Grad Media Group (GMG) seeks to enrich the intellectual and professional lives of graduate students interested in strategic communication. The group was established in 2017, and it is composed of graduate students and a faculty advisor in the Department of Communication Studies. The organization works to create open and inclusive venues for discussing and developing effective communication strategies; planning and implementing events and campaigns; debating strategic communication-related issues and ideas; and sharing timely information about academic and professional career opportunities. The group plans and conducts social media campaigns, workshops, panel discussions, and other events. Through these events, the group aims to increase knowledge and experience among communication graduate students and others interested in strategic communication education and practice.
