Graciela Tiscareno-Sato is a social entrepreneur and award-winning author of Latinnovating: Green American Jobs and the
Latinos Creating Them. She is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, School of Environmental Design. Her global sustainability experience began while leading the Green Enterprise Initiative at Munich- headquartered Siemens Enterprise Networks. She helped enterprises understand the economic and environmental value of collaboration technologies that when adopted, dramatically reduced corporations’ real estate needs, energy needs, employee commutes and carbon footprints. The author actively mentors students who need education and career roadmaps, which this book provides. Her thought leadership pieces have published in the U.S. and Europe including Huffington Post, Environmental Leader, Hispanic MBA, Fox News and many others. She earned a Master degree in International Management from Whitworth University in Washington while on active duty with the U.S. Air Force. In November 2010, she received “Entrepreneur of the Year” honors at the LATINAStyle Magazine Gala in Washington D.C. Salvatrice Cummo is a Director of Pasadena City College SBDC. She has a unique perspective on what it takes for a businesses to succeed by having worked in family businesses, publicly traded companies and not-for-profits. During her tenure at Macy’s West, she increased year-over-year sales, reduced employee turnover and made her stores highest ranking among the region. She began working for the Montebello Chamber of Commerce as their Director of Small Business. At the Chamber she assisted small businesses with marketing strategies, business plans, business connections and access to capital.
In September 2013, Salvatrice accepted the position of Director for the Pasadena Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a program funded by the Small Business Administration (SBA) and Pasadena City College. She has helped individuals make their dreams of starting a business into a reality and has helped businesses improve their business acumen in order to obtain their goals.
Mr. Davidner has been in the medical device business for more than 34 years and has developed or managed the development of 18 commercialized successful products. He founded, was an executive and/or led seven startup medical device companies. Alan has provided outstanding returns to his investors that have ranged from 1.8 to 35 times the investment. He serves or served on the boards of five medical device companies. He is the recent President of EndOclear, a medical device startup, that addresses ventilator acquired pneumonia in the intensive care unit. Alan led the development of the EndOclear catheter from concept to commercialization. He holds 50 issued U.S. and foreign patents as well as five pending patents. Mr. Davidner earned a BS in Engineering with a mechanical option from California State University at Los Angeles and is a registered manufacturing engineer.
Angel Investor and funder of Wild Horse Labs Julia Dilts, Co-Founder of Wild Horse Labs, focuses on training entrepreneurs domestically and internationally. She is an Investor and Member of Tech Coast Angels, the largest Angel Group in the United States. Julia created the Investment Accelerator, a monthly seminar created by investors which helps prepare and coach angel-ready entrepreneurs on how to successfully pitch to angel investors. She created Maverick Angels, an international Angel Investment Network. Julia was educated at UCLA, is a published author and is a University Guest-Lecturer & Industry Expert on Entrepreneurship for California State Polytechnic University, Daegu University, Kookmin University, UCLA, USC and others.
