Commencement is one of the University’s most celebrated events of the year. Cal State LA is celebrating the outstanding achievement of the Class of 2023 from May 22 – 26, 2023, in the Commencement Pavilion, a festive shaded structure that will be built on the north side of campus in Lot 5.
 
There will be 10 college-based ceremonies, and graduates will be automatically assigned to a ceremony based on their college, school, and major. For each ceremony, doctoral and master’s students will be hooded, all graduates will cross the stage, have their name read aloud and appear on the screen, as well as, on the livestream.
