The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department at Cal State LA is poised to provide a solid foundation in this vital field of Engineering by offering a well-rounded, up-to-date curriculum that provides an optimal balance between theory and practice and prepares you for the challenges of being the innovators and leaders of the field.

During the first three weeks of the spring 2022 semester (from January 24th to February 11th, 2022),  all lectures and labs will be held in a remote mode. During this period, the ECE Department is operating. You may contact the Department for general information:

The Electrical Engineering department provides advising directly to upper-division undergraduate and graduate students and maintains a collection of resources for students such as job and internship opportunities, FE and PE exam preparation, and student organizations.


As a student enrolled in either our ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited undergraduate program (accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET) or our graduate program, you'll be on your way to a rewarding career in such areas as communications, computers, controls, power, biomedical engineering, and systems engineering.
