The Luckman Fine Arts Complex at Cal State LA has partnered with the Los Angeles Philharmonic to present a free neighborhood concert. The LA Phil has been presenting free neighborhood concerts for over 20 years, as part of the organization’s dedication to making music accessible to the widest possible audience. Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, who represents the First District that includes Cal State LA, will co-present.
The concert will feature associate conductor Paolo Bortolameolli leading the LA Phil, performing works by Duke Ellington, Aldemaro Romero and Leonard Bernstein, plus LA Phil-commissioned works by Gabriela Ortiz and Paul Desenne.
