Date and Time

Wednesday, April 10, 2019 - 3:15pm to 4:15pm

What are primary sources? What is Special Collections and Archives? How can I use these to enhance my research papers and assignments? Let us help! Join us for a series of hands-on, interactive workshops provided by University Library Special Collections & Archives staff, and you could have a chance to win $500! Just attend a workshop and submit a paper using one of our collections.

Primary sources are firsthand accounts historians use to learn about past events, people and everyday life. Just like detectives, historians look at clues, sift through evidence and research conclusions. Studying primary sources can help make history seem more real and relevant to you. Explore physical and digitized resources, as well as strategies for conducting primary source research for your next assignment. Feel free to bring research topics for current assignments or personal interests.
