Library Policies

Food & Drink.   In order to protect the library's collections, equipment, & furniture and to maintain a clean and healthy environment for all our patrons, food is not permitted in the Library.

Library Code of Ethics.   The Library adopted the American Library Association Code of Ethics on December 11, 1995.

Library Computers.  Library electronic workstations are designed to be used for library research. These computers are located near the Reference Center, 1st Floor, Library North; in the Self-Service Pavilions on the 2nd Floor and 3rd Floor, Library North; in the Mullins Music & Media Center on the 3rd Floor , Library North; and in Periodical area on the A-level, Library North.

Students Code of Conduct.   The Library seeks to provide the University community with the best possible environment for research and study. We ask for your cooperation with the rules outlined on this page, which apply to all Library users, respecting the use of Library facilities and resources.

Study Areas.    There are study areas located strategically throughout both Library buildings. At the request of CSULA student government, the 2nd and 3rd Floors of Library North are designated "Quiet Study Areas." Information concerning graduate cubicles and group study rooms can be found in Library Services for CSULA Students.

Unattended Children Policy. The Library welcomes children as long as they are accompanied by a parent or adult caregiver and under appropriate supervision. This documents explains this policy is further depth.
