  • Journals can be easy to identify if they have the word "Journal" in the title (Journal of the American Dental Assoc.)
  • Usually published on a quarterly (fall, winter, spring, summer) or monthly basis
  • Long, in-depth articles cover case studies, report research and contain bibliographies
  • Geared toward scholars, researchers, professionals.
  • Few photos or ads.
