2020 - 2021 Officers
Kyle is a biochemistry major researching in Dr. Yong Ba's group.

Howdy! I relay information to general members and help plan/organize events. Chemistry has changed how I see and appreciate the world, but it's also given me the opportunity to make great friends and give back to the community via outreach. I research under Dr. Yong Ba and at another lab off campus.
My goal is to maintain our colorful club spirit in this period of distance learning. When I was new to science, this very club made me look forward to coming to campus. It also introduced me to awesome people I wouldn't have known otherwise!
I adore dogs, comic books, and drawing! Cooking is an integral part of my life. I'm always down for a solid conversation about cooking methods or culinary cultures. My favorite food is sinigang, which is a tamarind-based soup!

Hey everyone! As vice president, I assist Kyle Taing, our President, in his duties. This includes overseeing other officers in their duties, dealing with the paperwork, and maintaining relations with CSULA clubs, students, faculty, and administration. I also act as the club liaison to the Center of Student Involvement.
Aside from CBC, I do research on metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) under Dr. Yangyang Liu. In my free time, spending the day in downtown LA with my friends is the way to go!

Hello! I take care of anything regarding money such as organizing fundraisers and going over our budget for the school year. The Chemistry and Biochemistry club has given me great opportunities and friendships over the years!

Hello! As secretary, I help organize events for the CBC and take meeting minutes.
Outside of academics, I love baking and crocheting, and recently I've started making earrings. My favorite pair that I've made are quokka earrings!
Hello students! As faculty advisor, I support the officers in their goal to reach students for academic, social, and outreach events that promote professional growth and pride in the sciences, especially chemistry and biochemistry.
As a former student of Cal State LA, I’m very passionate about supporting students and ensuring that they make the most of their college experience. When I was a student here, I made life-long friends through the Chemistry & Biochemistry Club and it’s my hope that you will too!
Hello everyone!
I oversee everything related to members who are Master's students at Cal State LA, so please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, suggestions, concerns, comments, etc. that you think will benefit our chemistry graduate student community!
I went to California State University, Long Beach for my undergraduate degree in biochemistry and I currently do research in Dr. Zurita-Lopez's lab.
Aside from science, I like to sing, learn new languages, and go on long hikes.
I coordinate events with Nina so that members can interact, learn, and have fun! With thoughtful planning, we keep events effiient and organized. I ensure that events run smoothly by managing the technical apsects as well as tending to individuals' needs.
