Los Angeles, California - May 4, 1998 -- The Institute of Nursing at California State University, Los Angeles has recently been established to provide the opportunity for nursing education and nursing service to partner in meeting the needs of graduate nurses, the patients for whom they care, adjunct personnel, and the system in which health care is delivered.
Barbara Peterson Sinclair, director of the Institute and professor of Nursing at Cal State L.A., shares that the Institute plans to undertake such activities as analysis of need, consultation, conferences, workshops, directed short programs, manuscript development, grant preparation, and other educational activities for both the health care professional and consumer.
On Sunday, May 17, the Institute will be holding a fund raising activity at The Magic Castle to publicize and promote its plans and services to the campus community. The event includes a Champagne Brunch, prepared by a renowned chef, and a Variety Magic Show, presented by premier magicians. The program begins at 1:30 p.m., and all faculty, staff and students are invited.
The Magic Castle is a private club, housed in a Victorian mansion, and dedicated to the state-of-the-art prestidigitation. The Institute is fortunate to share this prime experience at such a special locale. The price is $50 per person, and appropriate tax deduction information will be documented.
