Cal State L.A. Students Selected to Compete in Statewide Research Event
Los Angeles, CA - Among 29 campus winners, ten California State University, Los Angeles students have been selected to attend the 15th Annual CSU Student Research Competition. The statewide competition, to be held this year on April 27 and 28 at San Jose State, includes nine discipline categories in the undergraduate and graduate levels. For the past 15 years, the CSU Chancellor's Office has sponsored this competition, with entries from each of the CSU campuses.
This annual CSU sponsored event follows the Cal State L.A. Symposium on Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity, which is held on campus every winter quarter. The aim of the symposium is to encourage all students--undergraduate and graduate in every discipline--to showcase their papers, projects and research endeavors and to network with administrators, faculty and peers. The campus-wide symposium is co-sponsored by the Office of Graduate Studies and Research and The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
The following students who will go on to compete in the statewide research event were selected from winners in the oral presentation categories of the campus event.
