President Covino leads Cal State L.A. delegation to meet lawmakers in Washington, D.C.

Cal State L.A. President William A. Covino led a delegation of University representatives to Washington, D.C. to meet with members of Congress and their staff to advocate onPresident Covino behalf of the CSU system.

The annual event, known as CSU Hill Day, provides an opportunity to inform lawmakers and their staffs about the accomplishments as well as challenges of the 23-campus California University System.

President Covino thanked members of Congress for their support of higher education and reiterated the CSU’s commitment to student success. The Cal State L.A. delegation included top administrators and representatives from student government.

The Cal State L.A. team met with congressional staff members and elected officials including Congresswoman Karen Bass, Congressman Adam Schiff and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, who is a a Cal State L.A. alumna.
